Introduction to Financial Management This week begins with an overview of the course content and learning activities, with a focus on the weighted average cost of capital (WACC). Next we will examine the various forms of business organization, the financial environment, and how financial markets are supposed to work. But what if financial markets are not working correctly? We will examine three instances of breakdowns in financial markets. Finally, we will take a close look at a firm's financial statements and how to evaluate them. We will also look at ratios and what they can tell us about a firm.
