Adjustments may be made to assessment tools on an as needs basis and after consideration of the impacts on the assessment process by the assessor. Adjustments are to be clearly recorded onthe assessment tool and initialled by both the assessor and student. Adjustments may include:Written assessments - undertaken verballySet tasks - adjustment of the task to suit the workplace policies, procedures and context or alteration of plant/equipmentOther - utilisation of interpreters, language expertsCompleted assessments are to be forwarded to George Brown College State Office for attachmentto student files. Incomplete assessment will be returned to the assessor for correction.AppealsStudents are entitled to appeal if for any reason they believe that their result does not reflect their performance. They should approach the Student Support Team immediately to discuss. This may result in you remarking the work or referring it for marking to another assessor. If students remain dissatisfied, they must follow the steps outlined in the George Brown College Policies and Procedures.SupportWhile George Brown College may not be in a position to assist students with language training or specific LLN training, assessors must work with students to ensure that they are supported throughout their qualification.
