The download into my download folder was quick as I have cable internet service. By using the windows 'run' command window, I uneventfully installed the program into a partition to which I install all programs. I am using the 64 bit version compatible with my PC.

I am using the program by using the information/exercises in Chapter 1 of the text book. To save time in tediously inputting the data, I copy in the text book and paste in the program. This is very helpful to give me a feel for the commands and using the program. I am also noticing that I can take the self quiz over and over again which gives me some di²erent questions to think about and work with the program 157 words Permalink | Show parent | Reply Re: Discussion Question #1 by Luca Valcavi - Wednesday, 17 April 2019, 3:30 PM Hello Curtis, Interesting points: the tip for copying and pasting data from a text document into the R environment is the same I use to repeat the same tasks for the same data. We also need to pay attention to what we paste and copy because sometimes we add or lose some details that cause mistakes that are hard to ±nd. 61 words Permalink | Show parent | Reply Re: Discussion Question #1 by Charles Cheng - Thursday, 18 April 2019, 8:05 AM Hi Curtis, Your reply was very informative. Right now am still struggling to install the system in my computer. I know here we have people who have successfully done the installation and can guide me. Maybe its the problem of my machine or the operating system it uses. I was able to ±nish the download and installation before I found the step-by-step instructions in the Learning Guide. The R website is very simple, which is typical of open-source programming language websites. Python's website is probably the

nicest I've seen so far. But installation was very straightforward, a direct installer download like any other consumer software, although there are several adjacent download links which may distract you.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
