3). The thing I found intriguing in this column is at the beginning of America's existence for around 300 years the gun laws, and gun rights followed each other, and they went hand in hand.
There were gun laws way back when the United States initially progressed toward becoming. The column expressed, “that no man should sell or supply any Indians any piece, shot, or powder, or any other arms offensive or defensive, upon pain of being held a conspirator to the colony. If caught, once the facts reveal the truth, they are hung, without all reclamation” (Spitzer,2017, para. 6). With this being one of the first many laws it shows how significant gun control and the regulations around it were then and still are at the moment.
