“Giving to charity is good, but not ethically”.“murder is wrong” 2.4 Modern Ethics or Applied Ethics: Modern or Applied ethicsis the branch of ethics concernedwith the analysis of particular moral issuesin private and public life. Itis concerning what a personis permitted to do in a specific situation or aparticular orbit of action.Modern ethics looks at controversial topics like war, animal rights andcapital punishment.Applied ethicsis distinguished from normative ethics, which concernsstandards for right and wrong behavior, and from meta-ethics, whichconcerns the nature of ethical properties, statements, attitudes, andjudgments.Because of normative ethics is failing, therefore modern ethics becamestandard.2.5 APPLIED OR PRACTICAL ETHICS :We examined several theories in ethics. What we are yet to see ishow these theories may be applied to real life situations.
