• “I think the partners value associates and treat them as equals in this office. However, leadership in the NYC office controls major decisions re promotion and that is not transparent.” • “Generally, the partners have an open door policy and are extremely approachable. I work directly for a number of partners, even as a first year. It varies, but I have generally found the partners both understanding and genuinely considerate of my development.” Hours • “Billables are high, but there is no face-time required and typically hours are consistent. There is no sitting around until 6, then work until midnight.” • “I work a little too much, but it’s my own doing; it’s intentional because I want to look good now that coming up for partner in the not-so-distant future.” • “Work fluctuates. One week you’re busy, the next may be slow. But overall it is definitely consistent.” • “I believe the required billable hours are high for Atlanta, but attorneys are permitted to work from home and face- time, while encouraged, is not required each day or on the weekends.” Compensation • “We receive compensation commensurate with our peers at other firms in the market. I think this is completely fair. Bonuses go above market for exceptional performance, which is very generous.” • “Market salary, market bonuses.” • “We get paid a lot of money.” • “Billable hours requirement is slightly high, but it’s obtainable.” Quality of Work • “There’s a good mix of high profile deals and leanly staffed smaller deals with more associate responsibility.” • “I have worked on everything from formal memos, to motion drafting, to legal research, to deposition cuts for trial proceedings. My work has been varied, and I have appreciated doing substantial work. I have done very little document review, and am grateful that my opportunities have been so substantial.” • “The majority of my time is spent on substantive legal work that I would never have expected to do at the junior level. I have drafted multiple motions, second chaired an oral argument, and repeatedly communicate with clients—all as a first year.” • “Work is extremely varied and generally very interesting.” Training & Mentoring • “We have a formal training program (Kasowitz University or KU for short) which provides an opportunity to workshop with multiple partners the various stages of the litigation process. This was fun and helpful. We also have a mentoring program, which has different steps of development. My mentor has been fantastic, and he is always available if I have a substantive question, or even if I just want to talk firm culture and development.” • “The firm offers in-house training and CLE’s monthly and I find this helpful. The partners offer guidance when necessary but allow associates plenty of leeway to manage cases, take depositions, write motions, etc.” • “The firm has a very organized and structured mentorship program that has been helpful.” Career Outlook • “The partner track is competitive, but not unattainable.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
