Estimation of cost, time and staff requirements It’s a very important and difficult task in case of big projects. Forecasted and actual results are different most of the times. That is the reason we create the work breakdown structure where all the work is partitioned into smaller parts. With WBS estimation of cost, time and staff is easier. Apart from all the above advantages WBS also helps in assigning the cost to different tasks, tracking the progress of project activities, making purpose of project successful by measuring the independent tasks. Project Scheduling Project Scheduling describes the tasks which are dependent or related with each other, deadlines for those tasks, possible estimated dates for usage of limited resources. It is a necessary instrument for completion of tasks under project. It is a document which ensures the whole project and all the tasks involved are required to complete within specified time based on resources available for activities or tasks. A start and finish date is always decided for each task. (Weedmark, 2019)
