Nurses take the front line in health care and will always be a significant part of any health care reform. With the ACA going into effect nurses took even more leadership roles. Nurses play such a large part of healthcare that after the reform, $15 million was directed to nurse-managed health clinic where advanced practice nurses will be training new nurses to deliver primary care to vulnerable populations (Wakefield, 2013). Nurse have earned a well- deserved trusting title in the healthcare industry and they need to continue with their education and understanding the education and advocacy they provide to their patients and their community members. The ACA has also made investments towards nurse educator programs in order to deliver health care in redesigned health care settings (Wakefield, 2013). I know I saw a post by our instructor that spoke of having student loan forgiveness programs. Do you think that any nurse who plans on going into the role of a clinical or primary care facility, or within a community type setting that helps with health promotion or disease prevention, be granted a loan forgiveness?
