remember him teaching us how to hold a gun and shoot properly; and, of course, he was with every one of his grandchildren for their first kill. My grandpa's passion for hunting is well represented in his game room, which displays his numerous wildlife mounts that have been killed countrywide. We even had the opportunity to meet NBA's Shaquille O'Neill as my grandpa guided him on a hunt when we were younger. Every time I go hunting or fishing now, I constantly think about my grandpa. Many of the things that I enjoy doing were acquired through his influence; it is extremely hard to participate in activities I enjoy without relating it to him in some way. Along with possessing the qualities of a great friend, my grandpa was always supporting me, no matter what it was in. He was at every soccer game, tennis match, cow show, FFA (Future Farmers of America club) competition, church program, or any other event that I participated in at least a half hour before the event even started, just to make sure he had a good seat. Even though he did not know every soccer rule and had no clue how to even keep up with the score of a tennis match, he was always there to show me that he had an interest in the activities I participated in. Although he was very involved in his work, he always made time to come, being his own boss had its advantages.
Scarborough 3 Many people think that those who do not attend college do not amount to much in life; that is totally not true in this case. My grandpa did not attend college but still ended up running and owning his own business, the furniture store, Badcock & More, by the time he was twenty years old. His drive and determination led him to become much more than people thought he would be and this made him my role model. Anything my grandpa ever wanted to accomplish, he did. Any task that was presented before him and asked to complete, he did with quality and in a timely manner. Everyone from my hometown knew that if they were in trouble that they could come to my grandpa and he would gladly help them in any way possible. He was someone that
