Industrial Relations Act 1996: Industrial Relations Commission of NSW and defines functions, procedures, and powers of the Commission. The act seeks to provide a framework for the conduct of industrial relations in NSW, with participation by employees, employers and representative bodies of employees and employers. Workplace Relations Amendment Act 2005: The 2005 Act was expected to carry forward the evolution of Australian´s workplace relations to improve productivity, increase wages, balance work and family life as well as reducing unemployment. Fair Work Act 2009: Which creates a national workplace relations system that is fair to working people 7. Why is it important to maintain mutual trust between all internal and external parties in business relationships? (2 marks) Successful businesses are built on relationships. Relationships between employers and employees, staff and customers, internal stakeholders and external stakeholders it is the basis of the right functioning of a company. Despite the aforementioned, these ones need to be built on a good foundation just as trust is. It may take time but is worth it, if you do it so you can certainty count on having trustworthy internal and external parties. Either way, sometimes managers can face difficulties when dealing with people and in some extreme cases, lawyers and legal parties may be also involved as the issues just can be solved through courts. As humans we are always prone to disagree with others but without each party trusting one another the probability to agree or consensus on an issue is always going to be bigger. If a workplace is able to build a strong sense of trust there are many benefits thet can be seen such as: Increasing productivity Improved morale Employees doing their work more effectively as a team, rather than individuals
