the piano for a certain amount of time each day. She would punish me if I did not finish all the tasks that day. I think this really reinforces the activity. I like your example. This is a great example of operant conditioning. I think my mother also used positive reinforcement to encourage me study when I was little. Every time, I got an A on my exam she would take me to a good restaurant. However, if I did not do well she would take away one of my comic book, which is negative punishment. Those two ways did help me to focus on my study. Response 2: The example I want to give is identified as operant conditioning. When I was about 5 or 6 years old, my parents began to teach me how to clean up my bedroom by myself. If I successfully cleaned up my room, my parents would reward me $2. As I learned the idea that I can get rewarded for cleaning up my room, the behavior to clean up the room eventually reinforced and I learned to clean my room. The consequence is positive reinforcement. This is a good example of operant conditioning. I remember that my mother also used positive reinforcement to keep me cleaning my room. She randomly checks my room. If my room is clean, I will get some money, which is the positive reinforcement. If not, I will get nothing and have to clean my room immediately. Since the checking time is random, I think this is a variable interval schedule of reinforcement.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
