products into stores in the United States. Sol is in the early stages of development, but will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of EnVia. Sol will work to fulfill the same mission as EnVia which states “We support the growth and creation of income-generating businesses, and encourage personal development through participatory programs that promote the empowerment of women, the well-being of their families, and the strengthening of community.” This mission will be carried out as Sol begins placing artisan products in stores. Sol will operate as a broker, Sol will purchase products from artisans in Oaxaca, ship them to the United States. Once products are in the USA the Sol team will add tags and other information that highlight the Sol brand and tells the story of EnVia, Sol and the artisans that made the product. Products will then be sold to retailers and then purchased by end users. Currently the growth plan for Sol is to get products into as many stores as possible, but it is essential that we grow in ways that are responsible and manageable. The Sol team has to effectively manage the amount of product that is being sold and demanded since products are not being manufactured but instead being made by hand. It is the responsibility of the Sol team to make sure that in no situation are the artisans being overworked or taken advantage of due to product demand. As Sol gains recognition the founding team hopes to be able to partner with other nonprofits to increase the product line and further help more people and families around the world become financially secure while promoting the benefits of fairtrade products . The current organizational structure of Sol is fairly small and simple as the organization is just starting out. The founding team which consists of five members most of the main operational roles and serves as the current management team. The founding team plans to work with Envia for as long as possible developing this plan and overseeing its success in all ways

possible, but in the event that people choose to leave their will be a hiring process that will be overseen by the members of the founding team and the advisory board to ensure that the new member is the correct fit to accomplish the goals of Sol. Management Team The Sol Management team is dedicated to developing strategies that will showcase the organizations honorable missions by providing outstanding service to customers. The management team’s most important goal as a subsidiary of En via is to honor the mission of Envia while growing awareness of the Sol brand and products in the United States. To accomplish this, the management team has developed eight key management objectives. These objectives will serve as a set of guidelines that will encourage honorable, measurable success. The eight objectives are: Honor, Leadership, Enablement, Fairness, Communication, Quality, Responsibility, and Innovate. An extensive outline of these objectives can be found in the appendix. These management objectives will be a part of daily activities in the Sol office and
