items that they bring into the workplace and connect to our network. In order to get the device registered, there will be an inspection of the device by the security staff. The employee may or may not be present during this security check. If an employee is using a non-registered personal device, it must be turned into security for inspection immediately. Violation of this policy will result in disciplinary action which includes, but are not limited to, suspension and termination of employment status. In addition to that, the employee will face civil and criminal liability from the company, law enforcement, or individuals whose rights were violated. There has never been a problem regarding productivity in the workplace and usage of personal electronic items. This new policy will be tough on some employees and because of this new policy; everyone will have an extra sick day added to what they already have. Recommendation Employees are encouraged to leave their personal electronic items at home or in the vehicle for usage outside of the workplace. If you are ok with getting your device checked up on by security, feel free to bring your device to the workplace. If you have any questions, give me a call. 301- 111-8721.
