Types of television advertising: We want to follow both “Participation” and “Spot announcement” types of television advertisements. We want to run and follow the “Participation” television advertisement for only the highly rated television programs and our departmental store related program. We have to choose the high rated television programs for my target audience when be the participated of those programs. We also want to buy the “Spot announcement” time in television. If once we 11
collect the information of the popular and high rated programs, then it would be easier for us to buy the beginning and ending time slot of those programs. Benefits of television advertising: Television’s advantages as an advertising medium have long made it a popular medium for consumer advertising. The advantages of broadcasting advertisement in television include creative flexibility, coverage of mass markets, and cost efficiency. Television offers countless possibility for using sight, sound, color, and motion to communicate an advertising message. These extra facilities that we can avail using television as a media gives us the added opportunity to use our creative minds and attract maximum audiences with maximum satisfaction. It is hard to beat broadcast television for reaching huge numbers of people quickly. Although television advertisement shows for a very short time, the cost of the advertisement is offset by the large population it reaches. Television advertisement is the best and successful way to reach our targeted people. Planning television advertising: We have planned to put up a television advertisement in our advertising campaign. We give our advertisements in television only between 12 pm to 12 am. We want to give advertisement 10 minutes in the 1 st week of every month. We break the 10 minutes time slot into two parts. 5 minutes in the program time and 5 minutes for other specific time. At program time, our advertisement 12
will go at the beginning, middle, and at the end of the program. In the 2 nd week, we want to run our advertisement for 5 minutes into two parts. Each part is for 2.5 minutes. Again, we want to give 2.5 minutes advertisements at program time and 2.5 minutes at specific time slot. During the program, our advertisement will go at the beginning, middle, and at the end of the specific programs. Out-of-home advertising: We can position advertising messages outdoors, and in variety of places in order to reach people out of their home. We have found that creative approaches possible in out-of-home advertising to grab audience attention in unexpected ways and in unusual places. As an alternative to the mass media, out-of-home advertising is often a cost-effective way to quickly reach large areas or local communities. We plan to use some specific out-of-home advertising for Marooned. We want to use “Poster Panel” billboard as an outdoor advertisement. There are 3 billboards in total.
