Your answer: The reason why wave summation and tetanus are not possible in cardiac cycle is because cardiac muscle has a longer action potential as well as longer refractory periods compared to the other types of muscles such as skeletal muscle. Due to the longer refractory periods and longer action potentials, the twitches are not able to form a temporal summation which means there is no way to reach tetanus in cardiac muscle. My prediction supported the results of the experiment. 4
