3.Discuss the extent to which the main character demonstrates the personality traitof neuroticism. Describe scenes from the movie to support your answer. Throughout the documentary, David Klein demonstrated a significantly high level of neuroticism. He has proven this personality trait by showing a lot of emotion in his business and his personal life. David Klein addresses about how dependent he is onhis business partners. He claims that he would have left his business at its roughest stages but instead, he stayed because of his business partners considering one of them are in their last few years of age. Later in the documentary, David Klein’s colleagues and family members mentioned the same thing about how David would do everything that it takes to get as much recognition as he can for his product. All he cared about was recognition and assurance from other people which shows that he can be very insecure. Furthermore, David felt that he was not being treated with the respect that he deserved and with all the hard work he has put in to flourish the business. Another scene that demonstrated his neuroticism personality trait was when David and his family members talked about the time David was coming up withnew and creative candy ideas to sell. Unfortunately, none of the new candy productswere as successful as Jelly Belly. David has gotten very emotional about it and took the failure very strongly, he would not talk to answer calls for weeks. David’s son mentioned that David is addicted to the feeling of giving things and helping others because the outcome and the reaction of other people make him feel good and thinkbetter of himself. David’s son says that overall, Jelly Belly has affected David Klein’s mental health and from that, it affected the people around him as well.
