to find most kind of seed on earth and try to patent them to control the seed market on earth.
Once again, most of the multinational company such as Monsanto is thinking about their profit

and monopoly for the international trade. Those multinational companies follow the Ethic of
Egoism . Because of it, most of farmer has to destroy their seed stocks because they scare that
their seed will infringed the Roundup ready seed patent of the Monsanto company and they will
get trouble in many lawsuits. The cost of destroying their own seeds is much cheaper than a
lawsuit which is infringed to the GMO issues. 1 D . In addition, the theory of “Substantial
Equivalence” is an ethical issue and it is very important to the quality of the product and
consumers’ health. The substantial equivalence is the term of being used to substantially
equivalent to the classical breeding practices (Garcia, 2004). Most of the GMOs were considered
substantially equivalent to regular food and they are recognized as safe by government agencies.
Those things do not require testing or labeling by Food and Drug Administrations, or USDA or
Environmental Protection Agency. In my opinion, I am really appreciated for the act if Oregon
mother who use couple thousand dollars to initiative to label GMOs of the food on the market.
Because of the profit of selling product to the consumers, the FDA ignored their own scientists
warning about the danger of genetically engineered foods and this is the problem which can

theory of Ethic of Kantian . Most of the engineers and scientist of government agencies such as
FDA and USDA think that the quality of the GMO produc t is equivalent to the organic product, it
does not harm to the consumers ’ health and these thought s become more popular and
universalizable.
The ethical theory behind the employment of any government policy maker who also
work for the private industry is the Ethic of Egoism . is ……………. Most of them just focus on
the profit of selling product on the market which is ignored the intention of customers of the
quality of the product. If they label the GMOs on the product, the amounts of product are sold in

the market would be much slower than the organic product. However, most of the agricultural
products on the market now are made from the genetically modified product. If the consumer
concern about the toxic or any allergic reaction to their health, they will not buy GMOs product.
It will affect strongly to the amount of selling GMOs product. As the result, the producers will
not make a lot of money. In fact, when the producer s do not make a lot of money from selling
GMOs products, the government policy maker will not have money as well. 3. Indeed, the
biotechnology can help us produce more food on land we cultivate with the vast amount of
product. On the other hand, the genetic pollution is also causing so many harmful issue to the
genes and the purity of organism. In 1998, Mexico banned the planting genetically engineered
