b.VocalsWhen an artist has a great set of “pipes,” it increases people’s enjoyment of theartists’ music. When someone can belt out a tune and shake the rafter with just their voice, this creates a shock and awe effect where people are immersed in someone’s voice. Forexample, Chris Stapleton is my go to for a country music artist that can move an audiencebecause of his voice. A perfect example of this is his song, “Fire Away” on the album,Traveler, where this man belts out a tune like nothing I’ve ever heard with a subtle blue-grass feel to it while still maintaining the correct, desired sound. He communicates hismessage to his audience through his voice and has been known to bring people to tears; i.e.me.2.How do country artists use their backstory or their autobiography to communicate that they are “legitimately country”?
