7. Discuss strategies you could use to help overcome barriers when communicating and avoid misunderstanding with people of diverse cultures, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. I will try to look for interpreter if there in is none, I will try to identify and observe the situation around me carefully and follow they cultures rules or habit (ex. Making or avoid eye contact, touching, etc). I will also try to find resource such as dictionary to help me communicate (which is everybody could easily have it in their mobile phone nowdays). Speak slowly and clearly with simple word, following with my body language . I believe even if I couldn’t speak in their language, they could at least try to understand me through the body language and I could communicate through visual as well such as drawing things for them. 8.
