We started this project using all the available continuous variables to predict what a customer will spend on the webstore but quickly determined that the only variable that was useful to us in this situation was the restaurant spend and web visits. I could potentially find more results that could be useful if I were to analyze all of the spend rates in all of our venues. Information about relationships in linear regression is limited by the variables included in our model. However linear regression can only be used to predict continuous variables.

Logistic Regression: We used Logistic Regression to predict whether a customer would make a purchas on our website. This can also be used to predict other things like if a customer will make a purchase at our store or how much they might spend. This information is used to determine our strategies with certain groups within our dataset. This information can be used to determine the stocking levels at our stores in certain regions or markets. It can also tailor our web experience to customers that are more likely to spend.
