Antigone is consisted a hero because she defied the law of the king and answered to the law of the gods. However I consider her to be a tragic hero. I believe this because her tragic flaws lead to her downfall, which was death. She is a hero because she knew the consequences of her actions but stuck to her beliefs and remained loyal to her family and gave her brother the proper burial that she felt he deserved. There is no clean-cut answer as to if Antigone’s behavior is dangerous to society. Antigone is stubborn, she is loyal to a fault, but she is also selfless. On the hand, it is truly astonishing how devoted she is to her family, what she would risk her own life to do right by them. She is also loyal to what she believes in, which is the laws of the gods. However, this is where she might come across as dangerous. She does not follow the laws of the king, which can make her seem reckless in society. Personally, I admire her tragic flaw pertaining to her family. If I were in her position I would most likely do the same thing. She cared so much for her family and wasn't going to let a law tell her what her family deserves or didn't. In saying this, I don't believe that she is a huge danger to society, yes she didn't follow the laws, but the main person that was impacted by her tragic flaws in the end, was her.
