Discussion In the experiment the measured value of phosphate in the fertilizer turned out to be an average of 0.467 g/L. In the energy drink, there was and average of 3.61x10 2 mg of phosphate. The measured % P 2 O 5 in the fertilizer is an average of 16.7% while the given in the fertilizer is 15%. The measurements of the mg of PO 4 3- in the energy drink were close to each other. There was a standard deviation of ±3.54 which is not such a great difference between measurements of PO 4 3- . I believe there were not significant differences between my calculated values in the fertilizer since my standard deviation was ±0.265. Some sources of possible errors that could have been contributing to the changes in readings or in molarity could have been if there was no correct or accurate transferring of the amount of solutions asked for. Another source of error could be that there was a mixing of solutions if the cuvettes were not fully rinsed with the solution that was going to be tested. this could have increased or decreased the readings in the spectrophotometer.

### What students are saying

• As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

Kiran Temple University Fox School of Business ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

Dana University of Pennsylvania ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
