ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP & INTERPROFESSIONAL TEAM DEVELOPMENT34.2% Asian, 1.7% Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, 18.1% Hispanic, and two or more races 2.7% (Quickfacts, 2017). Intermountain Health Care scored highest in the first two domains: Leadership/Operations & Mission, Vision, Values. Both of these categories showed strength because of the precise and clear mission statements that they present for family involvement and patient centered care. The organization also has their own patient bill of rights & responsibilities which entail the core mission values. Intermountain Health Care did however, score in the lower spectrum in the domain of Advisors and Quality Improvement, because patients, or their familiesare not involved on hospital committees, safety meetings, advisory councils, operational goals, and quality meetings. Another domain which was scored low was Personnel and Environment Design. Patients nor their families are not allowed to participate on clinical design projects, employee orientation, or interview teams. Most hospital environments do not support having patients or their families participating in collaboration of appraisals and policies. In the domain of Information/Education, the organization has both weaknesses and strengths. They do provide a patient portal, such as My Health Online which aids in patients being able to contact clinicians via email, as well as on campus 24/7 access to resources through their libraries which are used asresource rooms, and on the web remotely via their home pages. They do not however, have patients nor their families serving as educators/faculty for any clinician. Intermountain Health Care did score high in Charting/Documentation as well as Diversity & Disparities. Patients nor their families may not have access to chart or document, but they do have access to their medicalrecords through that department during regular business hours. In the domain of Diversity & Disparities the organization has a strength because they have excellent interpretation services to an array of languages/ethnicities/races through different interpreter services via in person of over the phone; and education materials are available in different languages which can meet an array

Thepatients families are encouraged to provide medication history, be involved in planning of care, participate in shift report and rounding as well as stay present in the activation of rapid response systems. The families are encouraged to participate in collaborative goals settings with all clinicians, be involved with the patients pain management and be treated as partners in the patients collaborative care. During the activation of rapid response systems, families are allowed to stay during the events, so they themselves can see that every attempt was made, but they are not encouraged as this can be traumatic for the family.
