communication channels, and centralised communication networks. Leadership Leadership, according to Osmani (2016) needs to be prevalent during the decision process to help in cementing the group’s dynamics. Notably, good leadership helped in coordinating, guiding, and structuring all relationships and activities within the group. The Delphi method relies on a coordinator while appreciative inquiry facilitator – a critical enabler of this factor. Norms Osmani (2016) defines norms as behavioural patterns and shared rules that direct the conducts of the group members. Both appreciative inquiry and the Delphi method have their distinct internal criterions and codes that direct their use during group meetings and decision- making process. By complying with this factor, both frameworks help in reaching outcomes that benefit the group. Roles and Status All members are assigned different roles during the decision-making phase. Delphi and appreciative inquiry decision techniques categorised team members into leaders, facilitators, thinkers, and contributors and every one of them played particular roles in the process ( Watkins and Wilber, 2015). On the other hand, status is the place every member occupies in the group. In general, various traits including competency and skills, age, seniority, gender, and ethnicity are used in assigning the members different statuses. Similar to roles, Delphi and appreciative inquiry enable status by categorising persons within a team thereby helping them form a complete view of themselves. Cohesion and Compliance Cohesion is perceived as a group’s capacity to have united members. As mentioned in the preceding sections, the firm adopted Delphi and appreciative inquiry techniques, which endeavour to set positive relations in the group. As such, they enable this factor by identifying everyone within the group and normalising their attitudes. As stated by Osmani (2016), high degrees of cohesion result in compliance, which raises a group’s efficiency and creativity levels.
