As a society it serves for people to find a better way in handling teenagers and adolescence. On the macro level it gives society an opportunity to look at ways to elevate the underlying problem of juvenile delinquency, whatever the cause maybe, family life, school problems, and socioeconomic, etc. On the micro level juveniles have use violence and 1
crime in a self-depreciative manner without realizing it. For example, committing a crime to fit into the local gang, to defend themselves, to gain monetary benefit, or to have an outlet for their rage (Khromina, S. 2007 pgs. 91-100). In the context of conflict theory juvenile delinquency are he actions that go against societal institutions. In other words, the influence that the social institution has to change norms comes into conflict with the individual. On a macro level looking at how society on the whole changes a person’s point of view. How due to the consistent in society, the individuals may change their way of thinking and communicating. Issues such as, gender neutrality, the use of marijuana to combat illness such as depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder. The fact that the poor and middle class are the ones who are becoming addict, and dealing with food deserts, poor living conditions, such as slums, and homelessness.
