Strategy for the future of GoPro according to the companies 10k is “to continue building our existing capture device business while also launching complementary new device categories including unmanned aircraft systems (drones) and devices to enable virtual reality content capturing. In addition, we expect to release new content management, editing and sharing solutions that will provide increased value to our consumers, introduce new revenue streams and further differentiate us from competitors.” With drones becoming a rising market GoPro has been working on the release of the Karma Drone. This strategy will allow GoPro to reach out to another market and expand their product. GoPro mentioned virtual reality content capturing. Like the drone, this field of technology is on the rise and has been expanding quickly in the past few years. It is important that GoPro continue to improve their strategy to keep up with changing technology and consumer taste. Organizational Structure The organizational structure of GoPro is a functional organizational structure which as picture below. The CEO/Chairman, Nick Woodman, oversees his 13 executives who specialize in the field they oversee. These executives will report to Woodman who will have a final say on any decisions or issues. The executives of each branch will have people working under them which is not as organized in structure as the initial chart shown below. The advantages of a functional organizational structure are that the communication is done smoothly because everyone knows who to report to and ultimately the CEO will be who everyone reports to. Some say that GoPro should change its structure to divisional-by- product or divisional-by-region because of the fast pace that this company and industry are growing. Technology is constantly changing and GoPro is creating new products so some believe that changing to a more divisional structure will allow for the company to be more successful by focusing on the products as well as the expansion. As GoPro continues to grow their organizational structure could change but as of now the company is sticking to what they know in hopes to continue to expand.

Another long term strategy of GoPro is to continue to create new products to keep up with technology as well as peoples changing wants and needs.
