COMBINING NURSE LEADER WITH ADVOCACY“Reflective Practice Reference Behaviors/Tenants”, would show my strengths in the areas of holding the truth and holding different perspectives without judgement. I could improve on my comfort level and believing in myself and my abilities. At times I let small criticisms take over and forget the person I am and the pride I take in the things I do every day. I encourage others to hold onto the positive and not let what others think of you change who you are as a person. It is easier for me to do with others and at times I forget to look at myself. I see potential in everyone and find a way for others to see that potential as well. There is always an attempt to discourage negative comments said about others and instead, reflect on the positive. There is always room tolearn and grow. I will use my current leadership skills set to advocate for change in my workplace by being a voice for my coworkers and my patients. I am able to speak up and educate others on the need for change regarding safety for our patients whether it is relating to patient ratios or the need to encourage evidence based practices in areas that we are failing. I will advocate for such
