Hegemony – notion of values of upper class that have more benefits than the lower class o An indirect form of government , and of imperial dominance in which the leader state rules geopolitically subordinate states by the implied means of power , the threat of force, rather than by direct military force. o Lower class take pride to their job o Defining what “nice” is; certain class impose what they think Symbolic power o Being able to make “your view of the world” the best way to view things o Used in the context of issues that concern power, public policy and social justice It breaches the separation of science and life, which is an accepted part of life. Hegemony naturalizes towards all of the social/working class.
