The drugs used have made the spread of malaria disease reduce remarkably over the years, but recently questions have been raised on the efficiency of the treatment. The ministry of health in Liberia has partnered with the World Health Organization, and Global Fund have started “an efficacy and safety study of Artesunate+Amodiaquine (ASAQ) and Artemether+Lumefantrine (AL) used as first line treatment for uncomplicated Plasmodium falciparum malaria” (“World Health Organization”,2018, para. 1). The aim of the study is to protect the efficacy of the treatment and reduce the antimalarial drug resistance. The outcome of the study will help the Ministry of Health to revise and amend its current national treatment guidelines concerning malaria (“World Health Organization”, 2018) . The role played by the Global Fund will be to finance the research whereas the World Health Organization will focus on providing technical support and funds. The initiative taken by the Ministry of Health, World Health Organization and Global Fund will be effective in the fight against malaria. Moreover, it is important to come up with
