545 Vault Guide to the Top 100 Law Firms, 2018 Edition SQUIRE PATTON BOGGS THE SCOOP Squire Patton Boggs has a multi-disciplinary team of more than 1,500 lawyers in 46 offices across 21 countries on five continents. Their expansion has been through a unique mix of organic growth, to match client needs both globally and locally, and astute combinations. Given their geographic reach, the firm is well-suited to support clients who span every type of business, both private and public, worldwide. Growing Up Globally The firm’s roots and culture are firmly planted in the manufacturing and industrial heartlands of both the United States and Europe—in the late 1800’s Squire Sanders was founded in Cleveland, Ohio while AV Hammond opened shop in Bradford, England. Organic growth on both sides of the Atlantic, firmly established these firms as a force to be reckoned with over the years, and their growth was supplemented by some major combinations throughout the 60s, 70s, and 80s, giving them significant presence in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. As Squire Sanders & Dempsey, the firm was one of the first in the U.S. to establish a permanent presence in Eastern Europe, opening an office in Prague in 1990. Later through the acquisition of the California, Tokyo, and Beijing offices of Graham & James, they became one of the longest tenured U.S. law firms in Japan. In 2005, the firm branched into Latin America and grew deeper roots in Florida by adding offices in Santo Domingo and West Palm Beach through the acquisition of Steel Hector & Davis LLP. 2011 marked a dynamic year for the firm: Squire Sanders & Dempsey combined with Hammonds, enhancing its presence in the U.K. and Western Europe. As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
