The growing trend from plastic to eco-friendly products put Aardvark in a socially relevant light. How they respond to this and other social issues will affect their standing in the arena. The push for “made in the USA” is also a big social issue. Consumersare wanting products made a home, that enrich American employees and America in general. Coming out ahead of the others with a durable, friendly to the environment and 100% made in the USA product has put them on track for tremendous growth. SuppliersThe company does not go into much detail about its suppliers as it operates as a closed plant and its straw making process is a secret. What has been learned is organizations like Aardvark have to have multiple suppliers on hand. Aardvark is already advertising on their site they can be a 35-week delay in receiving products. This could be a delay from the new technology and machinery they are attempting to get in place, but it could also be from suppliers.
