Essay1 info - It refers to differences between groups in access to healthcare,use of varying quality care and insurance coverage. It occurs due to various reasons such as low income, no employment,discrimination as well as increased rate of diseases among a certain group. It can also be differences in rates of injuries,illness and mortality where one group is widely affected than the other. Terminology used include healthcare inequality, health status disparities. The implications are inccreased gap between the two groups,those able to access versus those not able to access. Discrimination leading to increased mortality rate. Disability increase causing labor power to decline. Recommendation: Government interventions so to provide healthcare facilities enabling people have access. Lowering charges to enable low income earners have access. Provision of favourable and affordable healthcare coverages such as those given to minorities and elderly. Advocating for equal treatment no matter the ethnicity,gender, race or other factors depriving inequality. Training Practioners to provide care that is needed and increase them in numbers so to reach wide range of people. Also, providing programs that aim at reaching individuals who are not able to go to facilities of healthcare maybe because no facility near them. +++++the term disparities is often interpreted to mean racial or ethnic disparities, many dimensions of disparity exist in the United States, particularly in health. If a health outcome is seen to a greater or lesser extent between populations, there is disparity. Race or ethnicity, sex, sexual identity, age, disability, socioeconomic status, and geographic location all contribute to an individual’s ability to
