Bible Software I have been using e-Sword for the main reason that it’s a completely free product and available offline without disc etc. The things I like about e-Sword are the fact that I can easily search through commentaries, dictionaries and graphics. So far e- Sword has been a great program to lookup the different comments of commentators as Clarke, Henry, Barnes, Gill and many more. The only thing for me lacking is a comparison of different translations in one window. The program which I use for to compare translations is Lumina. Lumina is great tool to quickly lookup the Greek, Hebrew and compare different translations and compare the scriptures all in one window with ease. I do believe that I will get to a point where I must save money to invest in a proper program such as Logos. Commentaries Commentaries are a well sought source of information and help to think to shed some light on the background setting or motivation of the verses. Reading the comments of commentators helps me to think different to the situation and to familiarise myself with the setting or persons situation. I normally use commentaries of Matthew Henry, Adam Clarke and John Gill. Conclusion I believe in order to do a in depth study of the Bible one has to have the essentials: are at least 4 different translations of the bible, two good study Bibles, a good systematic theology textbook and a preferred Bible software programme. 3

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
