The analysis and evaluation of the similarities and contrasts would also map the extent of the knowledge gap whilst being descriptive of the extent of the challenges encountered by municipalities. Comparisons of the methods, data, findings and conclusions of the previous studies shall be presented. <3000 Words> 2.4 Introduction to leadership and its key components and processes This Section shall be introducing the theory of leadership and its key components and processes. Seven key components of leadership shall be discussed and will be related to the focus of the study. The components shall include (i) describing leadership and the political system inherent in municipalities and why it is important in driving local government turnaround, (ii) in-depth theoretical description of leadership, (iii) purpose of leadership, (iv) major components of leadership, (v) major processes of leadership, (vi) established facts on leadership and (vii) key issues in the study of leadership. This Section therefore begins to unpack facts and factors on leadership and relates this to the implementation of the local government turnaround strategy.
