In motivation, everything matters; therefore, as the leader’s, it is important for us to possess great judgment and critical thinking. For example, when we have professors that not only point out our mistake but also teach us how to fix it and must be done to improve our work. This is a form of motivation because not only that individual has shown us how to improve our work, we have learned something new that will be able to help us soon; more importantly, what we have learned had improved our grade. Individual motivation is important because of its express effort in attaining the company goal and objective, showing persistence, attending to the tasks necessary to achieve the goal. Although there is a different type of motivation; nevertheless, it is important for us to make the difference between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. In intrinsic motivation, the individual enjoys what they are doing; moreover, in this source of motivation, the employee seeks directly from their work activity to satisfy their psychological needs. Extrinsic motivation, on the other hand, the employee seeks to satisfy their social and psychological needs; therefore, extrinsic motivation is only effective for a short period of time. However, long-term satisfaction can be achieved through motivators which focus on the intrinsic of the work. According to the researcher, emotion is a complex arrangement of interactions of subjective and objective factors. Moreover, it can be transmitted by neuronal and hormonal systems which can cause an individual to feel lost or unlost which can evoke cognitive emotion. Furthermore, emotions can be experienced consciously or unconsciously. Therefore, the experience of emotions can lead to actions which can be caused by the situation that the individual is in. Situation affect people emotion, behavior, and personality; therefore, it is important for us as leaders to create a better work environment for our employee that will allow them to perform better (Schwartz, K. (2017).
