o No big ranges above sea level o With a couple of exceptions Ergs Tibesti mountains in Northern Chad with highest point being 11,300 feet Atlas Mountains are not a huge divider But does a play a bit of a role in dividing things a little bit Not a single line of mountains, but smaller isolated ranges 9-12,000 feet High enough range that it does effect local climate and biomes Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia face Mediterranean Europe meaning that they have much more interaction with this part of the world Arabian Peninsula o Cool, little thing called an escarpment
