made the decision to go ahead with the existing design at the risk of possibly jeopardizing consumer safety. Instead of focusing solely on making profit, they should have delay the production of the Ford Pinto and redesign the gas tank just to make it safer. I believe that Lee Lacocca , engineers that created the design, and the NHTSA should bear the moral responsibility of those people injured due to the Pinto’s design. As the Ford president, Lee Lacocca had the power the power to make the decision whether to keep or delay the production of the Ford Pinto. He was not only responsible for the image and success of the company, but also every problem their product caused. The engineers who created the design should be liable because their job were to make the design and monitor crash test to ensure the cars safety. They should have reported the defects of the vehicles. They knew that the Ford Pinto was dangerous but instead of reporting or fixing the problem, they ignored it. The NHTSA should also be liable because their jobs were to examine the vehicles and report any technical and safety issues that these cars but failed to do so and ensure the safety of people.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
