Google created an algorithm that can collect data on how many people had the influenza flu, the problem with this was that the algorithm overestimated the number of people who had the flu. Big data also poses a large threat on security and privacy, for example companies are keeping track of people’s shopping habits and how much they spend usually on a visit. 3) Not all big data that is collected is useful, for example many companies hear that by collecting big data that their company will be successful but that isn’t the case. Without a proper clear goal of why the big data is used then there isn’t a point of going through the whole process of collecting data. These companies believe that by collecting these big data files that all of their problems will be solved. The next limitation to using big data is finding a technician that is specialized in using big data analytical tools and knows how to use the tools such as Hive and Hadoop. This is limitation because not everyone has the proper skills to use the analytical tools. 4) I believe that not all organizations should be analyzing big data files because without the proper training and without the proper analytical tools there wouldn’t be a point trying to go through the hassle of acquiring big data. It is the management’s duty to make sure that they have questions they want answered from the big data that is going to be researched or else without having a reason for the big data being researched then the data would be useless. The organization as whole needs to be trained to be researched of big data meaning they need to be properly trained and needs to know what questions they need answered from the data their researching. Technology plays a big role in the analysis of big data since the tools needed are complicated programming systems that require the proper programming skills. Big data is also known to pose a big threat to both security and privacy of people.
