doctor that you still have thousands of dollars to pay because your insurance didn’t cover anything. Currently I need surgery on my knee because I have a torn ACL and meniscus from a previous accident. The insurance provided by my company is so horrible that I would have to pay for my surgery myself because I have a high deductible. Being in the financial situation I am in would make this very difficult so now I am left with no option but to sit with this bad knee. This is something and most people do, it should not be this way. Do employers have a duty to provide a just wage? Why? I do believe that employers should provide a just wage for all. I understand from their standpoint why they would want to pay the way most employers pay because money must go to go many different things like, rent, electric, overhead and more. Employers pay so little and ask for so much from employees. Take for instance a Medical Assistant. As a Medical Assistant we are taught to run an entire office, from the front to the back and everything in between. There are companies that still want to pay $13/hr starting.
