Speaker
The imaginary voice assumed by the writer of a poem.
Tone

Alliteration
The repetition of initial consonant sounds.
Consonance
The repetition of similar consonant sounds at the ends of accented syllables.

The repetition of vowels sounds followed by different consonants in two or more stressed syllables
Rhyme
The repetition of sounds at the ends of words.
Rhyme Scheme
A regular pattern of rhyming words in a poem, usually indicated by using different letters of the alphabet to represent each new rhyme.
Personification
A type of figurative language in which a nonhuman subject is given human characteristics.
Hyperbole
A deliberate exaggeration or over statement.
