 Product The answer to a multiplication problem Quotient The answer to a division problem Divisor The amount by which another quantity is to be divided Division The operation which makes equal groups Remainder The amount left over when you have divided as far as possible Multiplication The operation of adding the same number over and over or groups shown in an array Factor A number that is multiplied by another number Zero property of multiplication The product of any number and 0 is 0 Identity property of multiplication The product of any number and 1 is that number Associative property Changing the grouping of the numbers does not change the product Commutatative property Changing the order of the numbers does not change the product Multiple The product of a given whole number and any other whole number Overestimate The result of using larger numbers to estimate a sum or product. The estimate is larger than the product Underestimate The result of using smaller numbers to estimate a sum or product. The number is less than the actual number Partial product Products found by breaking one of the factors into ones, tens, hundreds and so on, and then multiplying each of these by the other factor
