Myceneans had allies called Achaeans. Troy or Illium was located in Asia minor. Paris, a trojan youth kidnapped Helen, the wife of Menelaus. Helen called herself the "face that launched a thousand ships". The Trojan War was to wiln her back and get revenge on Troy. Soon after the war the Dorians destroyed the Mycenean's civilization and palaces. Dorians spoke Greek dialect but wasn't as advanced.
