All the Bright Places | Part 2, Chapters 33–34 | Summary

Part 2, Chapter 33: VIOLET The Day Of

The characters go to Finch's house. Finch and Violet speak briefly about being on the ledge of the bell tower the day they met, and then she drops her towel.

Part 2, Chapter 34: FINCH The Day Of

Finch and Violet have sex. Afterward they go to the Purina Tower and talk. He tells her a story, and they wrap themselves up in a blanket together.

The two chapters present the perspectives of both main characters at the culmination of their romance. As this is a YA novel, there is a lot of attention to the newness of the experience, as well as to the setting. By now, the fact that this is inevitable has been well established for both characters. The lead-up to their sexual union includes talking about death.
