Historical Fiction
Henry V is the final play in what is often called the Henriad—a tetralogy, or series of four plays, that tells of events leading to the rise to power of Henry V. However, the Henry series really ends with Henry VIII, who was Queen Elizabeth's father. As one of William Shakespeare's history plays, it includes historical events and characters. However, it may not adhere exactly to the historical timeline, and some of its characters and events are entirely of Shakespeare's invention.
