Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Finite math is a requirement for business majors and is one of the most practical math classes that there is. Finite math is heavily focused on real life mathematical situations such as probability, logic and interest rates. I highly recommend taking this with Statistics 2500, since the probability section of this course is a review of basic probability taught in the beginning of Stat 2500.

    Course highlights:

This math class basically sums up the basics of multiple subject areas as stated before. These subjects will allow students to be able to start thinking about more practical math uses such as in statistics, economics and finance. The section on interest rates, mortgages and retirement programs is especially useful for Finance majors.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I was blessed with an excellent teacher in this course, who was easily approachable with questions, but I recommend taking practice exams and asking lots of questions. Attending class is not necessary, but always take the quizzes and complete the online homework assignments.
