Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Horner was an exceptional professor. In addition to his Hawaiian shirts he wore daily, he was passionate about his class and was great at elaborating on difficult topics.

    Course highlights:

I took this class during an election year, so a majority of the class was being directly modeled in the real world. Dr. Horner used a lot of interesting examples to supplement his lectures.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to read the textbook. Before exams, make sure you are familiar with the topics on the study guide.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is nicely paced, in that it isn't too fast or too slow. One thing I would say to those considering it is that the exams are very detail oriented, meaning that just studying lectures probably won't cut it for you, so pay close attention to the online readings and the textbook readings as well.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed the details around the Declaration of Independence because no class I've had on this subject before went as in-depth.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely read the textbook! I skimped out on this and didn't get an A because of it. Also visit his office hours and talk to the TA's. They were very nice and I wish I'd spent more time asking them about the material.
