Course Overview:
Stats is an intense course which attempts to solve the "what if"'s of the world. Real-life questions are asked and then solved in step-by-step processes so that statistics is as easy as it could possibly be considering it's a math course. Gambling, criminal investigations, and graphs are examined so students can apply statistics in their daily lives.
Course highlights:
It covers the fundamentals of sampling, counting, probability, and hypothesis testing.
Hours per week:
9-11 hours
Advice for students:
It can be hard but if you keep up with the assignments you will understand the concepts. The more complicated material is based on simple concepts, so if you can stay on top of the homework, the harder problems will only be one or two steps more than what you've previously learned.
