Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Ringel was the best thing that could've happened to me at Anne Arundel community college. She such an amazing professor who care so much about the student success it's scary.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the functions of the plasma membrane we are proteins, lipids, carbohydrates were placed. And I learned how this entire process is how we live and breathe each day.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Read, read, read. This course is memorization heavy so you have to be able to put in the time in order to learn the material. It's not impossible, but it is definitely doable, and you will be able to get an A in this course if you try hard enough.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course is not the problem, the professor is hard to understand becasue english is not her first language.

    Course highlights:

If you took AP biology in high school then it feels like a review.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course gives the student a basic understand of why the body functions and how it works. It's the introduction to anatomy and physiology. It will put things into perspective as to why we have to eat and how our body uses the nutrients and how it gets transferred as well as how it can be compared to real world issues we face with heart attack, diabetes and so on.

    Course highlights:

I'll always remember the importance to feed our bodies the correct nutrients. Even though our bodies can servive off of fats our brain is very picky and only uses glucose. If we starve ourselves then the body will start to break down muscles to make glucose for the brain because that is the highest priority. And if we don't feed our bodies and the muscles are broken down then our body will start to break down the heart because it's the last muscle that could give the brain the glucose that it needs and lead to death.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

It's not a easy course but it's not difficult either. If the work is put in then it'll be a breeze. Talk to the professor because they will clear up any misunderstandings or confusion. I had a tutor and meet with study groups to understand the material better. If science is not your strongest subject try to not learn it because you have to but because it applies to your body and see it as a way to better your life style and thinking of the human body.
