    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This required course of Argument and Research can give you much if you just hang in there and read through the numerous readings required with the class. Be warned, it is a lot of work if you are going for an A, but learning to analyze text and getting introduced to writings that one would not otherwise probably read turns out to be good for you! Together we finished 5 essays with weekly responses to the readings, which I found out was a bit too much for those who did not keep with the schedule of the syllabus, which is important in a class like this.

    Course highlights:

Highlights were truly learning a structure of an analysis and learning to do research with required 6 sources/paper - not an easy task to bring evidence within the text and still put together a fluent research paper!

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

You have to be prepared to do all readings, grammar, and follow the weekly tasks if you want to finish with A: it is doable but requires a lot of work, no slacking!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr.Glover is very passionate about English and encourages you to read more. He is very outspoken, cares deeply about his students, and knows most of the reading material by heart. you can tell he loves what he does and it reflects in his methods of teaching.

    Course highlights:

I learned that reading is amazing and we should do it much more often.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

READ! thats all you need to do to survive this class. Also, make sure your essays are up to par because you are dealing with a man that loves his work.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I'm a person who doesn't like English and English is my weakest subject. However for those who do enjoy English and writing then taking this course is the best for you. There is a lot of reading and writing and a lot of essays .

    Course highlights:

The theme for this course was movie madness. So the classes watched movies based on mentally ill people for instants Frankie and Alice, the soloist, and one flew over the cuckoo's nest. I think watching the movies was the highlight of the course .

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you're not a good writer then go to the writing center in they are more than welcome to help students who are struggling in English. Also study study study study, I cannot stress this enough. Overall just make sure that you are a good writer because there are at least five essays and total and the last essay has to be seven pages
