Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class jump-started my passion and eventual degree goal of Environmental Science. It taught me the responsibility and power I hold as an individual to do greater for our Earth, while combining enjoyable field trips and activities to have a greater understanding of the course material.

    Course highlights:

I learned multiple facets of the argument regarding ecology, from both the environmentalist and humanist perspective. Going out in the field further cemented these ideals and provided a more hands-on approach to a multiple-disciplinary science.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It is imperative to read the book and perhaps take notes. In order to be successful, understanding the material presented in lecture and lab is essential. If possible, take an honors section of the class in order to have a closer connection with the instructor.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

If you have any interest in going into any field that works with the environment then I would recommend this class because you learn a lot about how the ecosystem we live in is affected by us everyday; along with how selfishly we are destroying it instead of making it better.

    Course highlights:

I learned about global warming, something that most people don't think about. I also learned about DDT and its health effects on us. I learned how excess nutrients from farms run off into the waters creating dead zones where no organisms can survive.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Anyone who takes this course should make sure that you take your notes during lectures, read the book required, and study before quizzes and tests.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

He doesn't have the right lecturing tone to get my attention or to keep me attentive. He is also very slow when it comes to grading.

    Course highlights:

There was not many highlights. But there were a few. For example, I knew about photosynthesis, but I didn't exactly know how it worked. This class helped me achieve that.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you pick a teacher who has more of an interest in this course. Because if you don't, it will get very boring fast.
